This is a semi-detached single-family home located in the heart of the town.

This project has been carried out at RBM Architecture Studio by architect Raúl Benítez Molina. Its objective is to describe the energy characteristics of the building in order to enhance its energy efficiency through strategies related to the building envelope and thermal installations.

The certificate analyzes the energy characteristics of the residence, taking into account factors such as the living area, the type of envelope, thermal installations, and the consumption of non-renewable energy in the home.

For the building envelope, heat transmittance and solar factor are estimated, and these, combined with the surface area, provide the basis for the report.

Additionally, the thermal installations within the residence are studied, including heating generators, in this case, a standard biofuel boiler, cooling generators, a refrigerator, and the domestic hot water system with a standard gas natural-powered boiler. The nominal power of these installations is estimated in all cases.

In conclusion, for the improvement of the residence's energy efficiency, it is recommended in this case to install solar panels for domestic hot water. This would result in a 31.3% reduction in non-renewable energy consumption compared to the original situation, as well as economic savings for the owner.

This type of certificate enables the owner to receive assistance for improving the energy efficiency of their home and reducing their electricity bill.
